He looks back at Koakuma. She seems to be speaking, but he can't hear anything. Everything seems so surreal, like this is all a dream. He raises one of his hands, but he can only make out a blur. It feels strange and foreign. He seems to be holding something, but he can't make out what it is.
"..lright?"
What? He looks up at Koakuma. She looks a bit worried. Somehow, that expression doesn't fit her. A cheerful Koakuma is best. Maybe he can put a smile on that face, somehow.
"Koakuma?" he says uneasily. His own voice sounds so distant.
"Grey? Are you feeling alright?" says the little devil. Her voice seems even further away.
He nods at the bat-winged girl. He feels perfectly fine. In fact, he hasn't felt this good in ages. His mind and body are filled with unexplainable energy. He doesn't understand why, but he feels like he can take over the world, if he wants to.
Looking closer at Koakuma, she looks really beautiful right now. He can't explain it. Her long reddish hair perfectly frames her flawless, porcelain skin. He finds himself entranced by her deep, kind eyes. The wings on her head are more dazzling than any hair ornament, he barely stops himself from stroking them. This girl is wonderful. Why hasn't he noticed this before?
Koakuma opens her mouth again, but he can't hear a word. He can't help but smile and nod at her questions. He can't understand her words, but her every movement is simply hypnotizing.
But something is missing. The more he looks at her, the more he realizes it. She is almost perfect. But this isn't enough. The color is off. Her color off.
There is not enough Scarlet.
Grey pulls out a spell card.
[ ] Have her embrace perfection. Paint her completely Scarlet.
[ ] She is your servant. Bind her to your will.
[ ] Pull out your pistol. This calls for a celebration and a festival.
[ ] Take the violin into your hands. She is your inspiration.
