As Anon gets up, he starts thinking about how he arrived. Did he have some purpose at all, coming to a place as dangerous as the Scarlet Devil Mansion?
Blank. He just can't remember. But why does he know that this mansion is dangerous? He decides to walk around and perhaps refresh his memory.
Anon looked up and saw the batwinged-girl about to leave. "Wait," he calls out. The girl looks patiently back at Anon.
"I think your mistress is looking for a book. She mentioned that she is searching the library for it."
The girl sighs deeply.
"I have been looking for that book for hours. It's really my fault after all. Mistress Patchouli's cataloguing system is flawless. I'm just no good at being a librarian, since I often mix the different shelves up." She begins to fidget uncomfortably as she continues to mutter to herself.
Though pitiful, Anon can't deny that this side of her is quite cute.
Suddenly, the bat-winged girl began to sob. Anon continues to stare, as he is mesmerized by this fresh kind of cuteness the girl was giving off. But soon, he decides that he can't call himself a man if he won't try to cheer the girl up.
Anon tries to call out to her, but he realizes that she hasn't given her name.
"So Miss, may I know your name?"
The girl looks up at Anon as she wipes her last tears away. The two continue to stare at each other for a few minutes. And without warning, she gives Anon a dazzling smile.
"You may call me Koakuma."
Anon burns red as he contains himself from holding her close to his chest. His heartbeat rings loudly as he tries to pull himself together. He quickly turns away as he ponders what to say or do next.
Perhaps this strange circumstance isn't as bad as it seems to be.
